Between March 15 to April 30, a public callout for submissions will be made.  Submissions that do not meet the eligibility requirements for their respective award category will not be considered.

Public submissions will close on April 30. The Nominating and Voting Committee will screen all submissions to ensure that each submission meets all the requirements for its respective award category.

A panel of selected judges will evaluate the remaining submissions in each category with a given set of judging criteria to determine the top three nominees.

The top three nominees for each category will be posted on The OMAs' website from June 1 to July 15 for public voting.

Public voting will end on July 15. All votes will be accumulated and the winner for each award will be announced during The OMAs' show on September 29.

The OMA Nominating and Voting Committee will meet to discuss and determine potential recipients. Through a developed list of criteria, discussion, and voting, the Committee will determine the recipient. The recipient of this award is determined at the sole discretion of the OMA Nominating and Voting Committee and Executive Committee.
